REDEMPTION to premiere at The Big House

It has been announced that Redemption will premiere at The Big House in their Islington venue from 17 November-11 December.

The play, which will have text and lyrics by James Meteyard (Electrolyte) and music by acclaimed DJ, producer and composer The Last Skeptik, will tell the story of Maz, who tries to run from her life in care and meets Tayo, a gentle soul who they take their first steps of a musical career together, but can they endure when they are offered the chance of success? The play explores the themes of grief, trauma, family, and forgiveness.

Maggie Norris, Artistic Director of The Big House, said: “The struggle facing the UK’s theatre industry   as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown is extremely worrying. We are determined to stay open and find new ways to engage our audience. The Ballad of Corona V was designed to enable small groups to promenade through a live performance safely. We are delighted now to be able to open our doors to larger groups to see Redemption, a bold creative experiment mixing the sizzling text from James Meteyard with The Last Skeptik’s beats.”

Tickets are available now from the website here.
