Qdos Pantomimes in Bristol, Nottingham & Stoke affected by new tier restrictions

Qdos Pantomimes productions due to open in Bristol and Nottingham have been postponed until 2021, whilst Robinson Crusoe in Stoke-on-Trent has been cancelled completely, due to the new tier restrictions.

Robin Hood at Bristol Hippodrome will now run in February and Sleeping Beauty at the Theatre Royal Nottingham will take place in March.

Qdos’ shows in Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham are currently still scheduled to run as planned.

Speaking to The Stage, Jonathan Wilkes (due to star in Robinson Crusoe in Stoke) said that the cast and crew “are all so gutted that due to restrictions in Tier 3 we have had to cancel this year’s panto”.

“Everybody had worked so hard to try and bring some Christmas joy to families. Thanks to everybody who had bought tickets. Don’t worry, we will be back bigger and stronger than ever,” he said.

The current tier restrictions are set to be reviewed on 16 December.
