Paul Mescal to star in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG movie musical

It has been reported that Paul Mescal (Normal People) will replace Blake Jenner as Franklin Shepard in the movie musical of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Merrily We Roll Along.

Mescal joins the previously announced Ben Platt as Charley and Beanie Feldstein as Mary in the film.

Directed Richard Linklater revealed back in 2019 that he planned to shoot the film over 20 years as per the musical’s plot, with the first (last) sequence already having been filmed.
