Pantomime returns to Bradford this Christmas

Sleeping Beauty Bradford Playhouse

A socially distanced production of Sleeping Beauty has been announced to run at the Bradford Playhouse this Christmas.

When the wicked fairy Carabosse’s evil curse causes Princess Beauty to prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall in to an enchanted sleep can anyone rescue her from the magical slumber before it is too late?

Join Joey the Jester, Fairy Kindheart and The Prince in their attempts to rescue the Kingdom from the wicked Carabosse and rescue Princess Beauty before it’s too late!

With music, comedy and fun for all, Sleeping Beauty is the pantomime of your dreams.

Theatre Manager, Megan Wilson, said: “Sleeping Beauty is such a great show for all ages and changing our 2020 title has allowed us to work with a smaller cast allowing us to provide your much-loved Christmas production, in a safe environment for cast, crew, and audiences. However, this does mean that our planned production of Aladdin is postponed until 2021.

“Pantomime is one of the main earnings for theatre throughout the UK and we had to ensure that pantomime happened at The Playhouse this year, we are working with Trio Entertainment to bring you a fantastic Christmas pantomime for all the family and cannot wait to welcome you back into the theatre.”

The Box Office team will contact all Aladdin ticket holders to arrange a transfer.

Sleeping Beauty will run from 17-24 December 2020. For more information and to book tickets, please click here.
