Chichester Festival Theatre has announced its schedule for the next few months after being forced to cancel its November shows due to the second national lockdown.

A Merry Little Christmas Celebration has been rescheduled and will now run from 3-5 December 2020 with a live-streamed show on Friday 4 December. It will feature Rebecca Caine, Simon Callow, Daniel Evans, Emmanuel Kojo and Rebecca Trehearn.

Michael Frayn’s multi award-winning comedy Benefactors will run at the venue from 5-27 February prior to a UK tour and features Outnumbered co-stars, Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner. Directed by Charlotte Gwinner in a co-production with Jonathan Church Theatre Productions, the play will then tour to Bath Theatre Royal, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, The Lowry Salford and Everyman Theatre Cheltenham.

Over the coming weeks, there will also be live streamed conversations with Michael Ball and Sheila Hancock, plus Joe Stilgoe in concert.

Their Christmas production of Pinocchio is scheduled to proceed with new dates from 16 December 2020 to 2 January 2021.
