In an early morning announcement today, Masterworks Broadway have revealed that there will be an Original Cast Recording of Back To The Future The Musical released in early Summer 2021.

The musical is scheduled to open in May 2021 at London’s Adelphi Theatre, following a successful (albeit cut short) run at Manchester Opera House before the lockdown began.

President of Sony Masterworks, Mark Cavell, said: "I am thrilled beyond all measure that Sony Music Masterworks will be bringing you the fantastic music from this great show, featuring a host of new songs from the combined talents of Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard together with firm favourites from the movie".

To mark “Back To The Future Day” today, an original song from the show written by multi-Grammy winners Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, ‘Back In Time’, has been released featuring Olly Dobson, who will reprise his role as Marty McFly in the West End.

Roger Bart will also reprise his role as Doc Brown, along with Hugh Coles as George McFly, Rosanna Hyland as Lorraine Baines, Cedric Neal as Goldie Wilson, Aidan Cutler as Biff Tannen and Courtney-Mae Briggs as Jennifer Parker.

Back To The Future The Musical is directed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando, with set and costume design by Tony and Olivier-award winning designer Tim Hatley, lighting by Tim Lutkin, sound by Gareth Owen, video by Finn Ross, choreography by Chris Bailey, musical supervision and arrangements by Nick Finlow and illusions by Chris Fisher.
