OPERATION MINCEMEAT announces open casting call

WEBF’s Musical of the Year 2023 (West End), Operation Mincemeat, has announced an open casting call for aspiring performers to be part of its West End production at the Fortune Theatre from April 2024.

Open auditions will be held on 8 January in London and on 10 January in Salford, with recalls taking place later in January/into February in London. The contract will be until May 2025 (to be confirmed).

The Pearson Casting website states: “Seeking outstanding comedy triple-threat actors with leading vocals and highly competent movement skills. This show is a fast-paced and character-driven comedy piece - we are looking for very experienced and dextrous comedy actors, preferably with improv and multi-role experience.

“Proficiency with accents essential, ability to rap a bonus. We are also seeking covers and understudies for this production.

“The roles are not solely limited to cisgender people; they are also open to transgender people, non-binary people and other people in the trans community. We are committed to diverse, inclusive casting, seeking performers without regard to ethnicity, age, sexual orientation or gender identity.”
