SAMMY: The Sammy Davis Jr musical starring Giles Terera postponed until summer 2021

The Lyric Hammersmith have announced that their production of SAMMY: The Sammy Davis Jr Musical has now been postponed until summer 2021, with new dates to be announced.

The new musical is based on the life and career of the legendary entertainer and will be led by Olivier Award winner, Giles Terera (Hamilton).

SAMMY has a book, music and lyrics by Davis’ long-time collaborator Leslie Bricusse, with additional songs by Bricusse and Anthony Newley, and will be directed by Clarke Peters (Five Guys Named Moe).

The show will see a live band playing his iconic songs including ‘The Candy Man’, ‘What Kind of Fool Am I?’ and ‘Feeling Good’.
