ONCE UPON A TIME IN NAZI OCCUPIED TUNISIA announces cast for run at The Almeida Theatre
Ahead of its world premiere at The Almeida Theatre, ‘Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia’ has announced it cast.
The production of Josh Azouz’s tale will run from 21 August to 18 September and has announced that the play will star Adrian Edmondson (The Young Ones, Eastenders) alongside Laura Hanna (Signal Fires), Ethan Kai (Equus), Piero Niel-Mee (Shakespeare in Love at Theatre Royal Bath), Yasmin Page (Submarine, Leopoldstadt) and Daniel Rainford (Private Peaceful).
The show is to be directed by Eleanor Rhode with design by Max Johns and light and sound by Jess Bernberg and David Gregory respectively.
‘Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia’ is a dark comedy set in a labour camp in Nazi occupied Tunisia in 1943, and is about home, identity, marriage with survival , blood and feathers.
The show will have a captioned performance on 9 September and an audio described one on 11 September. There will also be a post-show discussion with members of the company on 9 September.
