Nominees announced for The Stage Awards 2022

The nominees have been announced for The Stage Awards 2022; the winners of whom will be revealed at a ceremony at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 31 January 2022.

Nominated for Theatre of the Year are Battersea Arts Centre, Donmar Warehouse, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and Royal and Derngate Northampton; with nominations for Fringe Theatre of the Year including Hope Mill Theatre, New Diorama Theatre, and Theatre503; and Theatre Building of the Year: Hall For Cornwall, Reading Rep and Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Ellie Keel Productions, Michael Harrison Productions and David Pugh Productions have been put up for Producer of the Year; with the Innovation award including Donmar Warehouse’s Constellations, Inc Arts’ Unlock and Theatre Green Book; and Digital Project of the Year: Metcalfe Gordon Productions’ Romeo and Juliet, National Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet and The Show Must Go Online.

Finally, up for Community Project of the Year are Company Three’s When This Is Over, English National Opera’s Breathe project, Horsecross Arts’ Gig on a Truck, Good Chance Theatre’s Little Amal, #WeShallNotBeRemoved, and LUNG, the Lowry and Gaddum’s work with young carers.

There will also be an Unsung Hero award which will be announced at the ceremony itself.
