As part of Michael Grandage’s MGC Futures, Hollywood star Nicole Kidman will fund an annual bursary for a female theatre-maker in a six-year commitment with the charity.

Bursaries are offered from £500 to £5,000 and are aimed at arts practitioners looking to progress to the next stage of their development.

Kidman, a patron of MGC Futures, said: “During Photograph 51, I saw first-hand the inspiring work of MGC Futures and the commitment the charity makes to the next generation of theatremakers. I am thrilled, particularly at a time when the arts are so badly impacted, to be able to give support to artists to make new work to help sustain the theatre for tomorrow.”

Applications must be submitted via the MGC Futures website from 12pm on 16 December and will close at 12pm on 7 January 2021. Bursaries are not available to support training or as commercial investments in productions.
