Off-Broadway musical Next Thing You Know opens at London’s Garden Theatre this month
We were worried that our summer solution of outdoor theatre would end come the chilly autumn but fear not! The Garden Theatre in Kennington, South East London, has installed heating systems to its open-air venue so you can safely enjoy its upcoming production of Next Thing You Know without getting cold.
Originally performed Off-Broadway in 2011, Next Thing You Know is a one-act musical by Salzman and Cunningham, who also wrote I Love You, Because. It follows four twenty-something New Yorkers confronting the harsh realities of life and waking up to find that once tangible hopes and dreams have been replaced by jobs, commitment, and reality.
Next Thing You Know stars recent graduates Amelia Atherton (PPA 2020), Bessy Ewa (ArtsEd 2020), Calum Henderson (GSA 2020) and Nathan Shaw (PPA 2020) and is scheduled to run from 20 October to 31 October.
Directed by Robert McWhir, musically directed by Aaron Clingham and choreographed by William Spencer, this production features design by David Shields, lighting by Richard Lambert and was cast by Anne Vosser.
