Southampton’s new cultural hub, MAST Mayflower Studios, has launched its website today, enabling the community to keep up to speed on the venue’s latest productions, activities and artist collaboration taking place.

Opening later this Spring, the new platform features the local creative organisations who will be resident at the venue and as such, will contribute to a multi-genre programme of events.

MAST Mayflower Studios will provide opportunities to local artists to produce work at the venue, whilst developing its education and outreach programme, Engage. There will also be a youth theatre and young company, providing valuable experience to aspiring young performers and practitioners, along with Community First Nights, which gives community groups the chance to access the magical experience of going to the theatre.

Chief Executive Mayflower Theatre and MAST Mayflower Studios, Michael Ockwell, said: “I am so excited for us to be able to launch our website. The community will be able to keep track of all the fantastic work we undertake as we establish MAST Mayflower Studios as Southampton’s new cultural hub on the South Coast. Collectively we will create opportunities for local people to come together and create work that tells stories about Southampton and for Southampton.”

MAST Mayflower Studios will create an inspiring cultural programme that will aim to engage audiences across Hampshire and form an integral part of Southampton’s UK City of Culture 2025 bid.
