New production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC announced at King’s Theatre Portsmouth

The Kings Theatre Portsmouth will present a brand new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music from 11-16 April 2023, it has been announced.

Showcasing the best local talent Portsmouth has to offer, the production follows the success of Titanic the Musical earlier this year.

The in-house team are looking for performers from 9 years old and above from all backgrounds, genders, and ethnicities to take part. Audition information for local actors will be released in Autumn 2022 so please keep an eye on The Kings Theatre website and social media channels.

The production will be directed by the venue’s artistic director Jack Edwards, with musical direction by Andrew Woodford, lighting by Alex Musgrave and choreographer Jacqueline Willis.
