New nationwide campaign ‘It’s Curtains For Theatre Without You’ launched

In a new partnership, Feast Creative and Whatsonstage have today launched ‘It’s Curtains for Theatre Without You’, a new campaign aiming to unite the industry’s venues, performers and audiences to celebrate and support live and digital theatre. Campaign ambassadors include Amy Hart, Ben Adams, Fiona Allan, Lucie Jones, Tom Morris, Oti Mabuse, Michelle Collins, Sean Foley, Arlene Phillips and Faye Tozer.

Artwork designed by Feast Creative will be posted across digital media and WhatsOnStage will host interviews with a number of people from across the industry including Sonia Friedman, Tamara Harvey, Cedric Neal, Emma Rice, Katy Lipson and the company of A Christmas Carol at The Dominion Theatre, to talk about what theatre means to them, the future of the industry and why protecting it is so vital. Other artists and audiences will be encouraged to get involved using the hashtag #CurtainsWithoutYou.

WhatsOnStage have also launched a unique online guide offering the first comprehensive guide for all live and digital events running across the UK providing a resource for audiences looking to engage with theatre. You can find the guide here.

Chief Operating Officer of WhatsOnStage Sita McIntosh said: “As the green shoots of theatre start to emerge at WhatsOnStage we couldn’t be more excited! We know that our readers share that joy and we wanted to do our bit to encourage audiences back into auditoriums, inspire them to enjoy shows again and most importantly reassure them that they are safe doing so. There have been some impressive initiatives to ensure that buildings are Covid safe including #seeitsafely, so patrons can be comfortable in the knowledge that the industry has done everything it has been asked to do to comply with the latest government guidelines.”
