New musical TAMMY FAYE comes to Broadway in 2024-25 season

It has been announced that the Almeida Theatre production of the Olivier-nominated musical Tammy Faye will premiere at a Nederlander Theatre on Broadway in the 2024-25 season.

Tammy Faye features music by legendary songwriter Elton John, lyrics by Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, a book by award-winning writer James Graham, and direction by Olivier Award-winner Rupert Goold.

The musical features choreography by Lynne Page, orchestrations by Tom Deering and Mark Dickman, music supervision, arrangements and additional music by Deering, set design by Bunny Christie, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Bobby Aitken, and video design by Finn Ross.

From a studio in South Carolina, Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker revolutionised religion. Preaching to millions 24 hours a day, Tammy just wants to put the fun back into faith. But a new wave of ministers wants you not to just feel God in your heart, but in your homes, in your schools, and in the law too.

Production dates, venue, and casting will be announced at a later date.
