New musical SNOWFLAKE to premiere in Manchester next month

Snowflake

The Lowry in Salford has announced the world premiere of kaleidoscopic musical, Snowflake, which will run as part of the venue’s REWRITES festival from 14-16 October.

Performed as a semi-staged concert production, Snowflake navigates the tricky nature of sexual identity and community within the confines of modern millennial hood. What happens when the label you gave yourself no longer fits? Do you fight the confusion or embrace the ambiguity?

Written by Lewis Cornay, the musical will be workshopped at NDT Broadgate this month, with the production starring Eve Norris (Be More Chill) as Jess, Rochelle Sherona (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as Megan, Isaac Hesketh (RENT) as Olly, Roly Botha (Strangers In Between) as Tyler, Phoebe Ellabani (Peter Pan Goes Wrong) as Chloe, with Aitch Wylie (STAGES) and Annie Southall (The Boyfriend) as Ensemble and Cornay as Tom.

Snowflake features arrangements and musical direction by Nick Barstow and Matt Herbert, with direction by Tom Jackson Greaves, and video by Matt Powell.

A filmed production will also stream from late October.
