New musical FOR YOU I’D WAIT transfers to Union Theatre extending run by three weeks
Writing duo Golby and West and the Union Theatre have announced the transfer of their first full length musical For You I’d Wait, following their two week run at the Turbine Theatre.
For You I’d Wait will run at the Union Theatre for three weeks from 31 May-18 June.
‘On the 13th November we pay homage to the victims. That’s the only time you think of us. For you, life goes on. But for us, it doesn’t.’
For You I’d Wait follows the lives of 6 characters before, during and after the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris. Throughout the show we explore how the character’s lives are turned upside in one night, the process of healing, and learning to carry on. The audience are invited to explore the world of these character’s seemingly perfect relationships, and delve further into the choices the characters make as they encounter milestones in their lives.
The production features music & lyrics by Tom West & Sophie Golby, with direction by Samatha Pears & Elsa Strachan, musical direction by Jenna Dyckhoff, and lighting by Olivia Bailey.
The cast includes Amy Leek as Lily, Michael Karl-Lewis as Nic, Gemma Pearce as Dani, Billie Kerr as Renee, Jerome Lincoln as Christophe, Charlotte Hannan as Eloise, and Olivia Walker-Toward as Swing/Alternate Lily.
