New musical ENTERTAINING MURDER to premiere Upstairs at the Gatehouse

LAMBCO Productions will present Chris Burgess’ new musical Entertaining Murder at Upstairs at the Gatehouse from 26 November-2 December, it has been announced.

The sensational court case of Edith Thompson in 1923 was a ‘cause célèbre’. Edith had an adulterous love affair with a younger man. She was accused of colluding with him to murder her husband.

But did she?

The Old Bailey trial had people queuing for days to get tickets to see whether she was found innocent or guilty.

Watch a 'live' recording of a true crime podcast - as the case is reinvestigated in a torrid musical tale of lust, lies, love letters... and laudanum.
