New London production of THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN announced
A new stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train will return to London this summer, it has been announced.
Based on the best-selling novel by Paula Hawkins and the blockbuster film starring Emily Blunt, The Girl on the Train has been adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel for Upstairs At The Gatehouse, running from 8 June-3 July.
The play will tell the story of Rachel Watson who longs for a different life and uses the perfect couple she watches from the train each day as a form of escapism. When she discovers that the woman, she sees every day has suddenly disappeared she finds herself wrapped up in a thrilling mystery as both a witness and potential suspect, facing bigger revelations than she ever anticipated.
Starring in the new adaptation will be Katie Ray, who has recently finished a stint in long running West End hit The Mousetrap, with direction by Joseph Hodges, set design by Richard Cooper. and lighting by Seb Blaber.
