New K-pop musical ICON has sights set on West End

A thrilling new K-pop concert-style musical ICON has been announced, with sights set on the West End.

ICON is based on an original concept by Jamie Chapman Dixon, with original songs from chart-topping K-pop team THE HUB, led by Brian You and platinum-selling songwriter Charlotte Wilson, and an English-language book by Kyo Choi.

ICON follows a five-piece band who prepare to say farewell to their lead man who is called up for military service.

The creative team also features musical director Chris Poon, additional lyrics by Kyo Choi, dramaturg & additional lyrics by Darren Clark, and orchestrations by Joe & Nikki Davison (Auburn Jam Music).

ICON is currently being developed in South Korea and the UK with workshops taking place in March & June 2022 before an anticipated full UK run.
