Following the unprecedented success of free access classes offered by New Adventures during 2020, they are thrilled to announce that they will again be offering a programme for 2021. 

Proving popular, the Open Company classes offer access for dancers in training and professional performers a platform to refine their craft whilst under lockdown restrictions. The company are delighted to announce that these will make the leap from Instagram Live to YouTube as well. 

Beginning Wednesday 3 February, classes will be held weekly on their YouTube channel at 12pm noon. The Open Company Class will have a range of different styles, reflecting the styles that New Adventures use in their productions. These include Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz. They are tailored to professional dancers and dancers in training, however they are accessible to all and can be a useful tool to experience how dancers and performers prepare and practice. 

The classes will be taught by New Adventures artists including Kerry Biggin, Freya Field, Glenn Graham, Sophia Hurley, Monique Jonas, Nicole Kabera, Ashley Shaw, Arielle Smith, Katie Wevv, Neil Westmoreland and Carrie Willis. 

Not only are New Adventures running the classes but alongside, they are offering unique Q&A’s with the teachers via Instagram at @mbnewadventures. The teachers will be ‘live at five’ for questions about classes, their dance backgrounds and what it is like dancing for New Adventures. 

The first Instagram Q&A will take place with principal dancer Ashley Shaw, taking place on Monday 1 February at 5pm.
