National Theatre to premiere new musical HEX this Christmas
Brand new musical, Hex, will premiere at the National’s Olivier Theatre from December 2021, it has been announced.
Based on the Sleeping Beauty folk tale, the piece has been written by Tanya Ronder, and will see direction and lyrics by the venue’s Artistic Director Rufus Norris, music by Jim Fortune, design by Katrina Lindsay, orchestrations by Simon Hale, musical supervision by Marc Tritschler, musical direction by Tarek Merchant, lighting by Paul Anderson, choreography by Jade Hackett and sound by Simon Baker.
The musical tells the classic tale from the perspective of the fairy trying to make everything better.
Casting and dates are to be revealed.
