My Best Friend’s Wedding The Musical premiere delayed until Autumn 2021

The producers of the forthcoming world premiere of My Best Friend’s Wedding The Musical have announced that they will be delaying its opening at the Palace Theatre, Manchester until 20 September 2021, prior to a UK and Ireland tour.

The production is based on the film of the same name, which boasts an incredible soundtrack by Bert Bacharach and Hal David, and includes songs such as ‘I Say A Little Prayer’ and ‘I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself’.

The book will be written by Ronald Bass and Jonathan Harvey, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and will star Alexandra Burke as Julianne, a role made famous by Julia Roberts. Further casting will be announced in due course.
