Musicals, movies & Liza Minelli feature in Charing Cross Theatre’s Christmas programme

The Charing Cross Theatre has unveiled its fabulous Christmas programme of shows, which celebrate musicals, festive films and even Liza Minelli.

Christmas LIVE at Charing Cross is presented by Tarento Productions, the theatre company of producer and casting director Danielle Tarento.

Tarento is behind the already-announced Elf Who Was Scared Of Christmas, which is showing at Charing Cross Theatre from 8 - 23 December.

She now presents six more shows for Christmas: 

Benjamin Scheuer in Concert: 15 December

The American singer-songwriter performs his new solo set for one night only and will be joined by special guest Max Alexander Taylor.

Expect songs from Scheuer’s Drama Desk Award-winning show The Lion and from his forthcoming album Christmas is Black and Blue.

A Very Movie Christmas - A Musical Holiday Celebration: 21 - 23 December

Trevor Dion Nicholas, known for his role as Genie in Aladdin, leads a festive celebration of all things cinema, with a three-piece rock band and special guests.

Nicholas will have you singing along to numbers from The Nightmare Before ChristmasHow The Grinch Stole ChristmasThe Muppet Christmas Carol and more. 

Emma Hatton – Songbird: 28 December

The West End Star, known for Elphaba in Wicked and Eva Peron in Evita, presents her show Songbird, a celebration of American singer Eva Cassidy, who tragically died at just 33 in 1996.

Hatton beautifully recreates Cassidy’s classic songs, including Fields Of GoldOver The Rainbow and Songbird. 

Mr and Mrs Price's Holiday Special: 29 December

Newlyweds Stuart Matthew Price and Heather Lundstedt put on a “festive celebration of song, stories and survival.”

With their cheerfully-told journey through this rollercoaster year, the critically acclaimed duo offer something for everyone, no matter what your taste in music.

Shaza Sings Liza: 30 December

Bat Out Of Hell star Sharon Sexton recalls her award-winning portrayal of Liza Minnelli in one-woman show Somewhere Under The Rainbow - The Liza Minnelli Story.

For just one night at the Charing Cross Theatre, Sexton takes on the role once again at this unmissable gig.

Expect anecdotes, memories and hits from Sondheim, Kander & Ebb and Charles Aznavour.

Farewell 2020 with Sexton & Fowler: 30 December

Sexton is joined by her on and off stage partner Rob Fowler, as the pair send off 2020 in their own unique style.

The duo are known for creating the original characters of Falco and Sloane in Bat Out Of Hell, and were also cast opposite each other in the roles of Donna and Sam in Mamma Mia!, which was cut short in March.
