Monica Bellucci to make West End debut in MARIA CALLAS: LETTERS & MEMOIRS

World-renowned Italian actress Monica Bellucci will make her West End debut in a set of readings from Maria Callas: Letters and Memoirs at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 20 December.

Directed by Tom Volf, the show celebrates the book’s publication by Albin Michel. From Maria Callas’s modest childhood in New York to the war years in Athens, from her discreet beginnings at the Opera to the pinnacle of a planetary career marred by scandals and personal tribulations, from an idealised love for her husband to her inflamed passion for Onassis, this unique story reveals, for the first time, the real story behind the legend.

Bellucci is best known for starring in films including The ApartmentThe Passion of Christ, Matrix  and James Bond movie, Spectre.
