Matthew Modine & Cecilia Noble to join cast of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in West End

It has been announced today that Matthew Modine (Stranger Things, Netflix) and Cecilia Noble (The Amen Corner, National Theatre) will lead the new company of the critically acclaimed production of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird from 21 November – a new play by Aaron Sorkin, directed by Bartlett Sher, currently running at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End.

Also joining the cast are Sam Mitchell (professional stage debut) as Jem Finch, Ellis Howard (Romeo and Juliet, National Theatre) as Dill Harris, Jason Hughes (Violence & Son, 4:48 Psychosis, A Real Classy Affair, Royal Court Theatre) as Bob Ewell, and Colin R Campbell (The Incident Room, New Diorama Theatre/The Pleasance) as Mr Roscoe/Dr Reynolds, with Cheryl Burniston, Jack Crumlin, Alan Drake, Max Ferguson, Phillipa Flynn, Niamh James, Julie Legrand, Nigel Lister, and George Telfer.

Remaining in the company are Harry Attwell as Mr. Cunningham/Boo Radley, Helen Belbin as Miss Stephanie/Dill’s Mother, Niall Buggy as Judge Taylor, John Hastings as Bailiff, Rebecca Hayes as Mayella Ewell, Simon Hepworth as Link Deas, Tom Mannion as Sheriff Heck Tate, Anna Munden as Scout Finch, Tiwai Muza, Itoya Osagiede, Jude Owusu as Tom Robinson, Oyin Oyija, David Sturzaker as Horace Gilmer, and Natasha Williams as Mrs Dubose’s Maid. Candida Caldicot (on organ), Ciyo Brown and Jack Benjamin (on guitar) also continue with the production.

The current company, with Richard Coyle as Atticus Finch, will play their final performance on 19 November. The production is currently booking until 4 February, 2023 here.
