It’s less than a month now until Mischief Theatre’s The Play That Goes Wrong reopens at the Duchess Theatre and today the team behind the comedy hit have announced that their newest show, Magic Goes Wrong, will also be returning.

The show’s original cast will return to the comedic illusion hit, having toured with Mischief Movie Night in the summer and working together on series two of BBC hit, The Goes Wrong Show. The cast includes Henry Shields, Henry Lewis, Dave Hearn, Jonathan Sayer, Bryony Corrigan, Roxy Faridany, Nancy Zamit, Natasha Culley and Lauren Ingram.

Magic Goes Wrong will reopen the Vaudeville Theatre on 10 December 2020, playing a limited season through to 31 January 2021.

Producer Kenny Wax said: “We are one of a handful of small/middle scale productions who have low enough running costs to open with a socially distanced audience and even though we are unlikely to make a profit we will be employing over 100 staff across three productions in London and Bath. We are still taking a significant risk without a government backed insurance scheme to cover further business cancellation due to COVID-19.”

Magic Goes Wrong is directed by Adam Meggido, designed by Will Bowen, with costumes by Roberto Surace. David Howe designed the lighting alongside sound design by Paul Groothuis and video by Duncan McLean. Magician Ben Hart is the show’s magic consultant.
