Following a smash-hit autumn tour, Miracle Theatre have announced that they will reprise Everyman this spring.

Carol Ann Duffy’s mesmerising adaptation is brought to life by a cast including Laura Cairns, Giles King, Charlotte Merriam and Dean Rehman. It will be directed by Kyle Goodey, a long-time collaborator with Miracle Theatre.

The show promises to be a multi-sensory experience with a sizzling sound score, 360° projection and stunning design, bringing the fifteenth century English morality play up to date.

Everyman is riding high. He has success, wealth, good looks and is living the dream…until death comes calling. Everyman becomes a man on the run, attempting to justify his life choices. Everyman asks whether it is only in death that we understand our lives.

Director Kyla Goodey said: “Directing Everyman made me feel like I could finally breathe again as an artist. This is a production that we are really proud of, the extraordinary venue, vibrant multi-media production, and timely story are aligned to have huge potential”.

“I believe it is one of the strongest shows I've been a part of and I hope we can continue to build ambition for this piece with Miracle. Visibility for regional fringe theatre feels tougher than ever, but it's this type of work that has the ability to reach and revitalize communities. It was clearly evident through endless positive feedback last year that we put a buzz back in audiences following Covid, a surprising buzz they didn't expect!”

The play will visit Falmouth’s Princess Pavillion from 27-29 April, the Unit 15 Creation Space in Bristol from 4-8 May, Eco Park in Porthtowan from 11-21 May and then as part of Brighton Fringe Festival from 24-29 May.

Tickets for all venues are available here.
