The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced casting for the European première of Paul Grellong’s Power of Sail, which plays at the venue from 20 March-12 May.

Directed by Dominic Dromgoole, the cast includes Julian Ovenden (South Pacific, Chichester Festival Theatre/Sadler’s Wells) as Charles Nichols, Tanya Franks (Eastenders, BBC) as Amy, Katie Bernstein (The Play That Goes Wrong, West End/UK tour) as Maggie, Georgia Landers (Rock n Roll, Hampstead Theatre) as Quinn, and Paul Rider (Don’t Destroy Me, Arcola Theatre) as Frank. Full casting will be announced shortly.

His colleagues are very concerned about how this will affect both his and the University’s reputation; his students are vociferously protesting. However, Charles refuses to budge. Is there another agenda?
