Masters degree in pantomime launched at Staffordshire University
Staffordshire University is launching a master’s degree in pantomime in September 2022 - the first of its kind in the world.
The MA in Contemporary Pantomime Practice has been developed with Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts and is backed by panto veteran Christopher Biggins. The course will give students the chance to devise, produce and tour their own pantomime across the country and they will receive formal industry training through work experience placements.
Created by panto researchers and practitioners Richard Cheshire and Robert Marsden, the course is open to theatre creatives of all disciplines including performers, directors and technical workers.
