The cast and stage management team on the West End production of Mamma Mia! have been released from their contracts, the show’s producers have confirmed.

The team behind the popular production are preparing for performances to be suspended for the foreseeable future, in light of the government refusing to make a judgement on performances without social distancing before November.

A spokesperson for the show has stressed however, that the production has not closed permanently and will resume performances when it is safe to do so without social distancing.

It had also previously been stated that before the theatres closed in March, they had already recast a large number of the roles ready for a cast change in June 2020.
