A new magical treasure hunt show inspired by The Tempest is set to tour the UK this summer. The Noisy Isle is presented by Spun Glass Theatre and is an immersive adventure that will tour from 29 July to 15 August.

The show will be socially distanced and visit Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Iris Theatre, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Poplar Union and The Place Bedford.

It takes the form of an outdoor treasure hunt and invites the audience to steer their teams through choppy seas, meet mysterious characters and solve puzzles. It is perfect for children aged 7-11 and families will be able to build a den with Caliban, learn magic tricks with Prospero and sing and dance with Ariel on an exciting mission to learn about how people integrate in new countries with new languages.

Spun Glass Theatre’s Artistic Director Jessica Cheetham said: “I love how The Noisy Isle creates a fun, exciting world for children to collaborate with each other, the characters and their surroundings. This collection of stories tells an enduring tale of human resilience and survival, as well as the barriers that displaced people face when they arrive in a new land. By weaving these magical tales, we hope to create discussion and reflection for families about the refugee crisis.”

The adventure will have a run time of 60 minutes, and tickets for the shows and full tour dates are available here.
