London’s first carnival-themed immersive close-up magic experience to open this September

A brand-new immersive, close-up magic experience will launch in a secret London Bridge location this September, which promises to transport guests into a world of magic and mystery.

Opening this September, The Magician’s Table invites guests to join friends and family from across the globe at the wake of the Great Dieter Roterberg, as they celebrate the life of this famed carnival owner, magician and renowned collector of curios. Led by his beloved widow, guests will be given exclusive access into Roterberg’s private performance space and workshop. A privilege reserved only for his trusted circle, this intimate space is filled with mementos from his legendary adventures, archives from his carnival acts and, of course, his stage and tables. Once seated, guests will be drawn into the final plans made by Roterberg for one last night of wonder where hopefully, with the help of his friends, family and protégés, the trick that had eluded him throughout his life will finally be completed.

Throughout this two-hour experience, guests will delight in close-up magic from the UK’s finest magicians, handpicked by the carnival owner himself, as they uncover a tale of love, loss and mystery set against a backdrop of exceptional live music and expertly crafted cocktails hand-delivered to the table. As they delve deeper into Dieters’ world, it becomes clear that through his travels he wasn’t looking for something, but someone…who will take the empty seat at the Magician’s Table?

The Magician’s Table has been created by Right Angle Entertainment with BAFTA and Olivier-winning writers Stephen Long and Iain Sharkey, best-known for co-writing Derren Brown’s Apocalypse, The Great Art Robbery, Svengali, The Push and Sacrifice. Also on the creative team is Tom Greenwood-Mears, founder of Cut & Mustard and producer of international tours such as Jay Shetty: Love Rules and DanTDM Live as well as immersive experiences including The Hunted Experience; Kevin Hammonds, and an award-winning immersive writer and designer and Sheena Patel, founder of YonderBeyond, The Immersive Experience Network and producer of Time Run and Sherlock: The Official Live Game.

Senior Producer of The Magician’s Table, Tom Greenwood-Mears, said: “There is nothing quite like magic being performed right in front of your eyes and the magicians, writers and set designers involved are some of the best in the world. We’re having a lot of fun making it and the end result is going to be something pretty special.”

Tickets will go on sale in May 2024. Sign up to the waitlist here, to be the first to know when tickets are live.
