Following some easing of restrictions, theatres can be prepared to reopen from 17 May and that’s the case for the Coventry’s Albany Theatre, who have announced that it will reopen with Proforca Theatre Company’s AAAAA on 30 May.

AAAAA (FiveA) is a brand-new piece of fringe theatre, which will be performed for one night only in Coventry as part of its London premiere.

Previous shows include their critically acclaimed production of At Last (2019), Feel (2018 – 19) and Feel More (2018 – 2020), all of which made their debuts at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in London, followed by the Albany Theatre.

Behind the emotionally charged AAAAAA are some Coventry-linked new fringe theatre writers, with a cast led by Daniel Rainford and directed by Proforça Theatre Company’s directors, Jess Barton & David Brady.

Where no two shows are the same, AAAAA will be performed from 18-29 May 2021 at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre initially, before performing in Coventry.

Audiences are warned that in order to recapture the mystery, tension, and anticipation of the  long expected return of live fringe theatre, no further details about the production nor the plot will be released before performances begin.
