It’s the live action Disney film we’ve all been waiting for - The Hunchback of Notre Dame! And according to Josh Gad, it’s edging ever closer to fruition.

There have been rumblings for a couple of years about the project, with Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz on board to fine-tune their original work on the 1996 Disney animated movie and Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang penning the script.

The film includes legendary musical numbers including ‘Out There’, ‘Hellfire’, ‘God Help The Outcasts’ and of course, ‘The Bells of Notre Dame’.

Actor Josh Gad, who is one of the producer’s on the upcoming film, recently teased on social media that casting is "getting. closer. and. closer".

Other Disney live action films in the works include Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid and Hercules.

We can’t wait, Besties!
