The Lincoln Center Theater will produce a new version of Lerner and Loewe's Camelot, with a reimagined book written by Academy and Emmy Award winner Aaron Sorkin. Performances will begin on 3 November at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Camelot is based on T.H. White's The Once and Future King, with the original book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Lowe.

First produced in 1960, the show follows King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, and Sir Lancelot, and features iconic songs such as ‘If I Would Ever Leave You’ and ‘Camelot’.

The production will feature Sorkin's take on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, “reimagined for the 21st century,” as well as direction by Bartlett Sher.

The casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.
