Life of Pi to open in the West End in September 2021
The West End transfer of the critically-acclaimed production of Life of Pi has been postponed until September 2021.
Based on Yann Martel’s best-selling novel, the show was originally scheduled to open at the Wyndhams Theatre in June but performances have now been confirmed to commence on 26 September 2021.
After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, there are five survivors stranded on a lifeboat – a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, a Royal Bengal tiger, and a sixteen year-old boy named Pi. Time is against them, nature is harsh, who will survive?
Lolita Chakrabarti’s stage adaptation features breath-taking puppetry and state-of-the-art visuals, directed by Max Webster.
