Lee Mead celebrates 40th birthday with LEE MEAD LIVE AT THE LONDON PALLADIUM

Star of stage and screen Lee Mead returns to the West End stage this Thursday (10 June) for special concert, Lee Mead Live at the London Palladium.

The show will see the much-loved performer celebrate his forthcoming 40th birthday with his fans, with an evening of wonderful music spanning his 20-year career.

Mead will be joined on stage by special guests: West End leading lady Kerry Ellis, 2018 X Factor winner Dalton Harris, West End star Marisha Wallace and singer/songwriter Steve Balsamo.

Accompanied by a 12-piece band, Mead will perform songs that form highlights from his musical theatre career, with songs from Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Wicked and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many more. He will also perform songs from his five albums, along with some new material. A particular highlight will be the live premiere of his forthcoming new single ‘Little Light’, a song written by Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar) who will also perform a duet with Mead on ‘Snow Falling In June’, which Mead co-wrote with Balsamo and Musical Director Adam Dennis.

Discussing the Palladium show, Mead commented: “It will be an incredible moment to bring my own show to the London Palladium for the first time – it really is something I have dreamed of my whole life. After a year of lockdowns and turning 40 this Summer, I thought what better way to celebrate. All performers have missed live theatre so much and it will be a fantastic moment for me.”

The Palladium show will be the precursor to Lee’s forthcoming 35-date UK tour, commencing on 3 September. All dates and ticket sale links can be found here.
