KILN THEATRE announces reopening season

London’s Kiln Theatre have announced their reopening season of work, which will include three world premiere performances.

Reopening on 21 May, the first show is Amy Trigg’s Reasons You Should(n’t) Love Me, running until 12 June. Directed by Charlotte Bennett, the play is written and performed by Trigg, with design by Jean Chan, lighting by Guy Hoare and composition/sound by Elena Pena.

Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams’ NW Trilogy will also premiere at the Kiln, with dates to be announced. It will be directed by Taio Lawson and Susie McKenna, with design by Sadeysa Greenaway-Bailey, lighting by Richard Howell, and composition/sound design by Ben and Max Ringham.

Adpated from Chaucer’s The Wife of Bath, The Wife of Willesden by Zadie will be performed as part of the season, with dates to be revealed. The production is directed by the Kiln’s artistic director Indhu Rubasingham, with design by Robert Jones, lighting by Guy Hoare and composition/sound design by Ben and Max Ringham.

A revival of Ayad Akhtar’s The Invisible Hand will also be staged, running from 1-31 July, starring Tony Jayawardena, Scott Karim, Daniel Lapaine and Sid Sagar have been cast in the production.
