Kevin Clifton to return as Stacee Jaxx in ROCK OF AGES UK tour

The producers of hit musical Rock of Ages have announced that Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kevin Clifton will reprise his role as Stacee Jaxx at selected performances in the upcoming UK tour.

The tour opens at The Alexandra Birmingham from 19 August, with Clifton first appearing as Stacee Jaxx at the Liverpool Empire on 13 September 2021.

Rock of Ages will also visit Sunderland, Glasgow, Wimbledon, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Exeter, Dartford, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheltenham, Hayes, Darlington, Grimsby, Poole, Woking, Llandudno, Crewe, Bromley, Blackpool, Wolverhampton, Peterborough, Hull, Crawley, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Aylesbury, Brighton, Wellingborough and Portsmouth.

Also reprising his role from the 2018/19 tour will be singer/songwriter Luke Walsh as Drew, with Rhiannon Chesterman (Grease, Mrs Henderson Presents) as Sherrie, Joe Gash making his theatre debut as Lonny, Ross Dawes (The Phantom of the Opera, Girl from the North Country) as Dennis Dupree, Gabriella Williams (Mamma Mia!, Carrie: The Musical) as Regina, and Jenny Fitzpatrick (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) as Justice.

They are joined by Vas Constanti, Andrew Carthy, Erin Bell, Adam Strong and Joshua Dever who also return from the 2018/2019 tour, plus Scott Hayward, Sam Turrell, Phoebe Samuel-Gray, Siobhan James, Morgan Scott and Janine Somcio join the company.

The producers said: “We are delighted Kevin will be back as Stacee Jaxx, he has wowed us and audiences with his superb singing voice and we can’t wait for him to be part of our exciting show once again. We are also thrilled to welcome back many returning cast members from the last tour and a new rising star Joe Gash who will be playing the iconic role of Lonny. We can’t wait to be back and to give audiences (and fans) the best party night out of the summer.”

This hilarious musical comedy has a book by Chris D’Arienzo and arrangements/orchestrations by Ethan Popp. It is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, with set and costume design by Morgan Large, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Ben Harrison and video and projection design by  Duncan McLean.
