Keala Settle among further casting confirmed for WICKED films

Even more cast members has been announced for Jon M. Chu’s Wicked films, in a bumper casting reveal this week.

Make her feature film debut as Nessarose will be Marissa Bode whom, like her character, uses a wheelchair; with Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang and Bronwyn James (Lockwood & Co, Netflix) joining the cast as Pfannee and ShenShen, classmates of Elphaba and Glinda at Shiz University.

The Greatest Showman’s Keala Settle will play Miss Coddle, with Aaron Teoh (But I’m a Cheerleader, Turbine Theatre) as Avaric and Colin Michael Carmichael (Snow White, Disney) as Professor Nikidik.

They all join the previously announced Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.

The two-part film adaptation of the popular musical will be released at Christmas in 2024 and 2025.
