Ramin Karimloo replaces Kayi Ushe in SUNSET BOULEVARD at Alexandra Palace Theatre

Holby City and musical theatre star Ramin Karimloo will join the upcoming concert production of Sunset Boulevard at Alexandra Palace Theatre on 13 June, it has been announced today.

Karimloo will replace Kayi Ushe as Joe Gillis, in light of Ushe’s recent casting in the West End production of The Lion King.

He joins Mazz Murray as Norma Desmond, Zizi Strallen as Betty Schaefer, Sharif Afifi as Artie Green, Christopher Howell as Manfred Sheldrake and David Shaw-Parker as Cecil B DeMille.

The ensemble cast includes: Jack Harrison-Cooper, Jordan Lee Davies, Momar Diagne, Chloe Hart, Aimee Hodnett, Sejal Keshwala, Anelisa Lamola, Evie Rose Lane, Cameron Sharp and Bleu Woodward.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s luscious score will be performed by a 28-piece orchestra in the concert, directed by Jordan Murphy and conducted by Alex Parker, with choreography by Joanna Goodwin, sound by Paul Smith, and lighting by Jack Weir.
