JUST FOR ONE DAY announces cast album as musical completes sold out run at The Old Vic
Just For One Day has announced the release of a cast album, as the new musical at The Old Vic completes its run as the theatre's fastest-selling musical.
Having played to 99% full houses across the run, Just For One Day has also attracted a brand new audience, with almost 60% of audiences having visited The Old Vic for the first time.
All details of the cast album, including the release date, will be announced in due course. Further announcements will also be made soon about a future run for the show.
Artistic Director of The Old Vic, Matthew Warchus, said: :" “Just For One Day has blown the roof off The Old Vic day after joyful day for its entire nine week run. It’s been unforgettable to see the theatre packed to the rafters with audiences cheering and weeping real tears together. My congratulations and thanks go to a truly extraordinary cast and band who have brilliantly delivered this amazing true story of catastrophic injustice, visionary defiance and unprecedented unity. As one of the most musically galvanising two hours of theatre I’ve ever come across (as well an ongoing fundraiser for The Band Aid Charitable Trust) I will miss it and I wish it well in its future life.”
