Awarded ‘Fringe Venue of the Year’ at The Stage Awards 2021, Jermyn Street Theatre has announced its plans to reopen from 17 May with a three-month festival featuring 43 different productions. 

The programme, named Footprints Festival, will stage 43 productions both in-person and via live stream with 25 lucky audience members permitted at each performance. The festival will also involve 300 freelancers and will feature productions across six categories: drama, solos, cabaret, classics, showcases, and poetry so there really will be something for everyone! 

Whilst the full line-up has yet to be announced, Jermyn Street Theatre has confirmed three plays. Two Horsemen by Biyi Bandele is an absurdist comedy about two men in limbo and will be directed by the theatre’s Deputy Director Ebenezer Bamgboye. 

Ade Morris’s Lone Flyer has also been confirmed and will be directed by Lucy Betts following a successful run at the Watermill Theatre. 

The third confirmed play will be Mr and Mrs Nobody by Keith Waterhouse, which has been adapted from George and Weedon Grossmith’s Victorian novel The Diary of a Nobody. This production will be directed by Gabriella Bird.
