From Christmas Day, a filmed production of Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds will be streamed on The Shows Must Go On Youtube channel.

This production was recorded during its 2006 UK tour at London’s Wembley Arena. The spectacle involves performers from Wayne’s 1978 best-selling album and features impressive audio/visual elements, plus the Black Smoke Band and the 48-piece Ulladubulla Strings.

The War of the Worlds was set to embark on another arena tour in 2021 but this has since been delayed until 2022, due to the ongoing pandemic.

The show is free to stream and will be available to view until 5 January.
