ITV to launch musical theatre talent show to find star for MAMMA MIA!

ITV is bringing the musical theatre talent show genre back to our TV screens in 2023, it has been reported, with contestants competing for a role in Mamma Mia!

Like previous formats, rising stars will perform for a panel of celebrity experts (rumour has it that Amanda Siegfried could be in the mix having played Sophie in the hit films), with the viewers voting on who makes it through to perform the following week.

The eight-episode series is being produced by Thames, who are the team behind the juggernaut that is Britain’s Got Talent.
