IS NOW A GOOD TIME? Interactive telephone play to tour the UK this Spring

A new interactive show is being produced, which will be experienced entirely over the phone. Is Now A Good Time? will premiere at Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatres on 17 March and will then tour other venues around the UK from 22-29 May.

Each performance consists of four calls, which the audience will experience via their landline, mobile or an internet call. There will be short breaks between each call and the running time will vary on the size of the group taking part.

The play is a fictitious marketing survey; and the calls come alternately from Sam and Alex who are colleagues that need your help to figure out what it is that they have in common that they just haven’t realised.

The play explores themes of isolation, connection, romance and what it means to live in the moment, all whilst asking you the questions: “How many hats do you own?”, “Would you rather be too hot or too cold?” and “Is Now A Good Time?”

Is Now A Good Time? has been devised by Adam Barnard, Paul O’Mahoney and Laura Mugridge and is an Out of Chaos production, supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation’s development programme ‘Making Theatre for Extraordinary Times’ and Farham Maltings, plus a grant from Arts Council England.
