Initial casting announced for UK & Ireland tour of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Initial casting has been announced for the eagerly anticipated UK & Ireland tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Courtney Stapleton (Six, Dear Evan Hansen) and Emmanuel Kojo (Girl From The North Country, Show Boat) will lead the company, playing Belle and the Beast respectively. They will also be joined by Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins) as Lumiere.

Angela Lansbury, who voiced the role of Mrs Potts in the 1991 animated film, will also pre-record a prologue which will be played at the start of each performance.

The tour is currently scheduled to open at the Bristol Hippodrome from 25 August 2021, before visiting venues across the country.
