Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre will present A Celebration of Musical Theatre, running for four nights to bring their summer festival of arts and culture to a close.

Bringing together a stellar cast of stage performers, A Celebration of Musical Theatre has been written and conceived by Chris Burgess, with direction by Kirk Jameson. 

Featuring some of the best loved songs from musical theatre, audiences can expect to see medley’s of classics from Gilbert & Sullivan and Rodgers & Hammerstein, along with newer musicals such as Dear Evan Hansen. 

The cast will be comprised of Gemma Sutton (Follies, Gypsy, The Girl From The North Country), Joel Harper-Jackson (Kinky BootsBeautiful, Jesus Christ Superstar), Emma Kingston (In The Heights, Les Miserables, Evita), Idriss Kargbo (Shrek, Five Guys Named Moe, Wicked) and Laura Harrison (Parade, Rocky Horror Show, Legally Blonde).

Confirmed songs will include ‘Seasons of Love’ from RENT. which has an upcoming run in August at the Hope Mill Theatre. along with ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Miserables, ‘You Could Drive A Person Crazy’ from Company, ‘Tradition’ from Fiddler on the Roof, ‘One’ from A Chorus Line, ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’ from Jesus Christ Superstar and many more.
